"Stormbearer: The Fury of Oya", Part of the 2024 Series of the Power of Four, available exclusively at Lightworkers Garden
Power of the Four: Orisha Goddesses Yemayá, Oshún, Oyá, and Aje
Power of the Four is a celebration, by Michele Thompson, of the divine feminine energy embodied by the Orisha Goddesses Yemayá, Oshún, Oyá, and Aje. Each goddess represents a vital force in the spiritual and physical worlds:
Yemayá, the mother of all, governs the oceans and embodies nurturing, protection, and creation.
Oshún, the goddess of love, fertility, and rivers, radiates beauty, joy, and the sweetness of life.
Oyá, the fierce goddess of storms, wind, and transformation, symbolizes change, power, and rebirth.
Aje, the Orisha of wealth and commerce, governs prosperity, abundance, and the flow of money and success.
The combination of Yemayá and Oshún brings together the power of creation and beauty, uniting the strength of the ocean with the sweetness of rivers, symbolizing a harmonious flow of nurturing love and feminine power.
The union of Oyá and Aje forms a potent force of transformation and prosperity, where the winds of change brought by Oyá clear the path for Aje’s abundance and wealth, demonstrating the balance of destruction and renewal, power and success.
The number 4 signifies stability, completeness, and wholeness. In this series, the number 4 embodies the solid foundation built by these four Orisha, symbolizing the full spectrum of feminine power—creation, love, transformation, and prosperity—coming together to manifest balance and strength in life.

All prints 8x10 or smaller are Giclee prints.
Giclee (pronounced “zhee-clay”) prints represent the pinnacle of art reproduction, offering unmatched quality, longevity, and vibrancy compared to regular prints.
Unlike standard printing methods, which often use basic dyes and lower-resolution printing, Giclee prints are created using archival-quality pigment-based inks and high-resolution inkjet printers. These printers deliver astonishing precision, capturing every detail of the original artwork with extraordinary accuracy. Paired with premium materials like acid-free paper or canvas, Giclee prints ensure colors remain vivid and true for decades without fading.
What truly sets Giclee apart is its ability to replicate fine art with museum-grade quality. Whether it’s the subtle gradients in a watercolor painting or the bold textures of an oil piece, Giclee prints preserve the essence of the original artwork like no other method. Regular prints may serve basic needs but often lack the depth, durability, and vibrancy necessary for a true showcase piece.
For art collectors, enthusiasts, or anyone who values the beauty of lasting art, Giclee prints are a superior choice, combining technical excellence with aesthetic brilliance. They're not just prints; they're investments in artistry.
** All prints use archival paper - which means exceptionally durable, acid-free, and long-lasting. The finish on the paper is a matte finish.
